Bio

Sigurdur William Brynjarsson was born in Iceland and has spent most of his photography carreer in this photography paradise. He became brand ambassador for Kase filters in early 2018. During his time as a photographer, he early on found that his passion lies with photographing the beautiful landscapes and nightscapes of Iceland. One of his favorite activities is being out, chasing the northern lights and thinking of new ways to top his shots. He has won multiple awards for his work, both locally and internationally, especially for his photos of the Aurora Borealis. Sigurdur has also written a book on the subject to aid everyone in getting the perfect shots of Lady Aurora and held nightscape photography workshops in Iceland since the beginning of 2015 with great success. When the days get longer and the northern lights fade into the daylight, he turns his eyes towards the sun and the amazing midnight sun that Iceland has to offer with the golden hours that seem to stretch on forever.

01.Diamond Beach

I used my Canon 16-35mm Lens on a Canon 5D Mk4 body. Here timing was key as I wanted to get the texture of the water just right as the waves pulled out. To get the soft movement on the water I used the Kase ND64 filter and to get more texture in the water I used the CPL from Kase. And for a final touch I used the 0.9 Reverse Grad to darken the horizon and the sunrise.

I used my Canon 16-35mm Lens on a Canon 5D Mk4 body. To flatten the water out a bit and get a better reflection, I used the Kase ND1000 filter and to adjust the reflection and sky I used the CPL from Kase. And for a final touch I used the 0.9 Reverse Grad to darken the horizon and the sunset.
